Welcome to the De Miranda Lab, where we focus on advancing evolutionary biology through systematic studies, phylogenomics, and molecular ecology. Our research explores the complex evolutionary relationships and ecological dynamics of a variety of lesser-studied arthropods, specializing in whip spiders (Amblypygi), short-tailed whip scorpions (Schizomida), spiders (Araneae), and beetles (Coleoptera). By combining innovative molecular techniques, fieldwork, and computational analyses, we aim to uncover the processes driving biodiversity, adaptation, and ecological interactions.
